Welcome to Edwardsburg Intermediate School (EIS), home to the 4th and 5th grade Eddies! Since opening its doors during the 2001-02 school year, our Intermediate building has built a history of success. We have been recognized by the Michigan Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon Exemplary School, a Golden Apple Award recipient, and most recently, received the 2020 National Blue Ribbon Award! This success is largely due to the strong communication and partnerships between our highly qualified teachers and staff, and our students, parents, and community. All stakeholders share the goal of providing what is best for our students to excel both academically and behaviorally.
Edwardsburg Public Schools operates with a three-elementary-building configuration: Edwardsburg Primary (Pre K-1), Eagle Lake Elementary (Grades 2 & 3), and Edwardsburg Intermediate School (Grades 4 & 5). Each school is designed to provide a developmentally appropriate and rigorous educational environment to optimize success. Each building enrolls approximately 375 students.
At Edwardsburg Intermediate School, we recognize the uniqueness of each learner and the importance of offering choices to accommodate diverse learning styles. Our dedicated team works diligently to support the individual needs of every student while fostering a safe, respectful, and responsible environment. In addition to a range of educational options, students can participate in various clubs and afterschool activities, enriching their overall learning experience.
Edwardsburg Intermediate School proudly supports the district vision statement of empowering all Eddies to prepare for their future through innovative, diverse, and inspiring learning opportunities in an environment where standards of excellence are upheld.
