From the Principal

Welcome to the Edwardsburg Intermediate School (EIS) home to the 4th and 5th grade Eddies! The Intermediate building opened its doors during the 2001-02 school year and has built a history of success. We have been recognized by the Michigan Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon Exemplary School, a Golden Apple Award recipient and most recently received the 2020 National Blue Ribbon Award! This success is largely possible because of the communication and partnerships built between our highly qualified teachers and staff, and the students, parents and community. All stakeholders have the same goal, which is to provide what is best for our students to excel both academically and behaviorally.

Edwardsburg Public Schools is built with a three elementary building configuration: Edwardsburg Primary (Pre K-1), Eagle Lake Elementary (Grades 2 & 3), and Edwardsburg Intermediate School (Grades 4 & 5). Each of these schools is designed to provide a developmentally appropriate and rigorous educational environment to optimize success. The buildings each have an approximate enrollment of 415 students in this setting.

Edwardsburg Intermediate School believes that not all learners are the same and that choices are a necessity. This results in families being able to select from a variety of educational options to best meet their students' individual learning style. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in many different clubs and afterschool activities.

Edwardsburg Intermediate School is proud to support the district vision statement of empowering all Eddies to prepare for their future through the use of innovative, diverse, and inspiring learning opportunities in an environment where standards of excellence will not be compromised. If you would like a tour, or have any questions about any information regarding the Intermediate School and its programs, please feel free to contact our office at 269-663-1063.

Sincerely,

Andrew Jordan, Principal
